MiniMaster Football Game Review

I went to an exhibition about a year ago and was playing with a golf toy that was really cool- I had never seen anything like it and my Dad and me both really liked it, so I was really excited to find out the same company had now made a football version of the game.

The MiniMaster Football Game is the perfect game for a rainy day. It comes with everything you need for an indoor football game. In the box you get a net, a target, a spinner, marker tape and position marker, a defensive wall, a footballer, a lever, a display stand and plenty of balls. The footballer is very detailed and looks great, it arrives with you in  a plain white kit so you can decorate him for your team or even make up your own kit, you can play with it and then use the display stand to show off your custom painting.

I like the way this game can be played in many different ways. You can either attach the lever to the player and use the spinner to work out how far away you need to shoot from, use the markers and tape, and then aim against the defensive wall or you can  put up the target screen and aim for the different targets which let you get points. The smaller, more difficult holes get you the most points. If you just want to have a bit of a practice you could even just aim at the empty goal and see how far you can score from.

Once you get the hang of making the footballer kick it is really easy to get into this game. You just have to attach the lever to the player and pull it up to move his kicking leg- there is  bit you can look through to help line up the shot before you take it and then you are ready to go.

I have found the MiniMaster Football Game fun to play on my own but also with other people, my sister, my friends, my Dad and my Grandad have all enjoyed playing it with me. It’s quite addictive and even if you aren’t playing a proper game it’s good to just have a couple of shots every so often- I think everyone who has come into out house over the last few weeks has had a go!

The player is very well made and fits well into the display stand. It is 22cm high and can kick a really long way! I am really looking forward to getting some paints and decorating my footballer. I think it would be quite good if you could buy either some stencils or stickers from MiniMaster to help with customising your player.

I think the MiniMaster Football Game will get played with a lot over the summer, both inside and out and it could easily become a kids against adults challenge!

My First Football Match- Liverpool V’s Plymouth

My First Football Match: Liverpool V’s Plymouth

I finally got to go to my first Liverpool football game earlier this month. It was a birthday treat from my Godfather and I went with him, his son who is my friend but is a bit younger than me and my Dad.

I was so excited, I woke up really early and they picked us up at 8am. It’s a really long way too Liverpool but we arrived in plenty of time and found our way to the seats- they were really good ones, with a great view of the pitch.

It was a really good  football match (although my Dad said it was frustrating!) and Liverpool had a lot of possession. It ended 0-0 and they had to have a rematch later in the month. I was a bit disappointed that no one got a red card but my friend was excited because one of the players got taken off on a stretcher (he wasn’t hurt fortunately) but this was the most interesting part to him!

When the game was over we went and got a present for my sister and brother- Lottie now has her very own pink Liverpool scarf and Sam has a little bear which he takes to bed each night!

When we were leaving we were spotting footballer’s cars- we think we saw Daniel Sturridge’s and Nathaniel Clyne’s because of the number plates!

We then had a really long drive home but that was ok because we had plenty of snacks for the journey! I really enjoyed the game and would definitely like to go again soon- I am going to be practising my football skills too!

What’s it all about?

What’s It All About?

My name is Luke and I am 7 years old. I have a little sister, Charlotte who is 3, sometimes she is lovely and sometimes she is a pain but mostly we have lots of fun together. We also have a new baby brother, Samuel, who is 6 weeks old. He is so cute and I have lots of cuddles with him. He mainly just drinks milk, sleeps and fills his nappy but he loves his bath time and likes watching me and Lottie when we are playing, Mummy promises me he will soon be wanting to play with us. We live in the countryside in the East of England with Mummy and Daddy and spend lots of time playing with our friends.

I am a normal seven year old- I love football, LEGO, drawing, baking, Harry Potter books and arts and crafts. Liverpool are my favourite team.

Unlike a lot of my friends I also love entering competitions (and winning them if I can!!) My Mum has enjoyed competitions for as long as I can remember and I have picked up the bug from her so we look for ‘arty’ ones and I have great fun making and drawing things to enter- sometimes I even win!

Mummy and I were talking about writing and she told me that when she was young she kept a diary. This seemed like fun but I wanted to be able to do it on the computer (I like to try and get my hands on her laptop when I can but she doesn’t often let me!!) so she was telling me about blogs, she reads a lot of different ones by people and says some of them are really good. I thought I could do that too so I am going to write a blog about things that I do, great places I go, competitions I enter and things I like that Mummy has been sent for us to review- although probably things like children’s books, which we sometimes get, and perhaps not the coffee and toothpaste she has just tested!

I will be writing most of the posts and coming up with ideas for them but Mummy will help me to make sure they are ok to put on the internet and will do the publishing, as well as checking any comments as she says I have to make sure I stay safe if I am going to use the internet and can only do it with her help.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog if you stumble across it and if you have any suggestions of things you would like me to write about please let me know and I will see what I can do!
